Dorothy I. “Jeanne” Seabright (nee Irwin) was born on June 30th, 1935 in Pontiac, Michigan, and passed away in Evanston, Illinois on August 2, 2026.

Jeanne, a graduate of the university of Michigan, was an accomplished artist, a great cook, an avid reader, a devoted fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Michigan Wolverines, a born swimmer, an excellent teacher, a wonderful wife and mother, and a dear friend and neighbor to many.

On Christmas Day 1957, Jeanne married the love of her life, William A. “Bill” Seabright at her parents’ home. Bill and Jeanne subsequently moved to Illinois, eventually settling in Evanston and later Glencoe. In 2006, they came full circle and moved back to Evanston. They raised two children. Jeanne taught and later worked side-by-side with her beloved husband in his busy graphic design business for decades.

Jeanne is survived by her two children, Caitlin and David; and by her grandchildren Emma, John, Thomas, and Matthew to which she was deeply devoted and loved dearly.

Jeanne was preceded in death by her beloved parents, John K. Irwin and Dorothy Eugenie Irwin (nee Callow); her wonderful brothers John “Jack” Irwin, Richard Irwin and Robert C. Irwin.

Her devoted husband, Bill, passed away on April 3,2024. They are now together again.

A celebration of life for Jeanne and Bill will be announced at a later date.
