Donna Beth Johnson, 63, of Highland Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026, following a short hospice stay in Buffalo Grove, Illinois.

Born in Chicago on May 9, 1963, to Doris and M.C. Johnson, Donna graduated from John Hersey High School in Arlington Heights in 1981 and attended Harper College. She enjoyed a long career in administrative and purchasing roles, where she was known for her clever problem-solving skills and dedication to improving the companies she worked for.

Yet it was in her creative life that Donna truly shone. Affectionately known as "DonnaB the Crochet Diva," she poured love into every stitch. Hundreds of people proudly wear her uniquely designed crocheted hoodies and hats or find comfort beneath one of her beautiful blankets. Her hands were rarely still, and her generosity through her gifts touched many lives.

Donna also cherished travel and adventure. One of her favorite memories was a driving tour of Italy she took with her sister Cathy and two close friends. She spoke of that trip often, recounting the beautiful sights, delicious food, and joyful moments they shared together.

Donna is survived by her four older siblings: Barbara, Linda, Catherine, and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her parents, Doris and M.C. Johnson, and her five older siblings: Michael, George, Janet, Steve, and Brian.

Donna was laid to rest through cremation. A memorial gathering to celebrate her life will be held this summer, with details to be announced.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation in Donna's name.
