Donald J. Skiest (Donny) passed away unexpectedly at the young age of 50 on March 9th, 2026, in Chicago Illinois where he resided.

Donny leaves behind his mother Patricia Kimbar of Auburn, MA, his father Steven Skiest Sr and wife Michele of Boylston, MA, and a brother Steven Skiest Jr of Auburn, MA. He is predeceased by his sister Michelle Skiest. He leaves a stepsister Ali Houghton of Sterling, MA with whom he enjoyed spending time sharing their families' stories together. He leaves his 4 uncles, Kevin Skiest of Sarasota, FL, Mark Skiesto and his wife Karen of Shrewsbury, MA, Terry Skiest and his wife Sherry of Crossville, TN, and Erick Skiest and his wife Alison of Aiden, SC. He also leaves many aunts, uncles and cousins with whom he spent many holidays and family gatherings together.

Donny was a graduate of Quaboag Regional High School in Waren, MA. He then enlisted and served in The United States Air Force.

Donny started drawing at a very young age and went on to become an amazing artist, thought out his lifetime. His free hand drawing led him to become a well-known old school tattoo artist, where he was recognized by several great tattoo artists across the country.

Donny will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.

Donations may be made to a Veterans Home of Choice in memory of Donny.

A private graveside service will be at the convenience of the family.
