Dolores Anne
Frank
Mar 18, 1935 — Jun 21, 2024
Dolores Anne Frank, affectionately known as Dee to her friends and family, died on June 21, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois.
Born on March 18, 1935, in Blaine, Kansas, Dee's family moved from the family farm to Albuquerque, New Mexico. After completing her education, she met her husband, Gerald Frank, at a USO dance. They fell in love and married, and she moved to the Chicago area to raise two children, Paul (deceased) and Kerry, and to work at Frank's Department Store, the family business.
Beyond her work, Dee enjoyed creating scrapbooks, collecting tins, reading, and spending time with family. She was a beautiful woman, a stylish dresser, and an excellent baker. Her fudge brownies were delicious! After her husband died, she and her partner Eddie moved to a ranch in St. Anne, where they grew alfalfa and kept horses, dogs, and the occasional goat. Dee's mother, Marie, said that Dee was the last child she thought would return to the farm.
Dee is survived by her brother, Hugh McCormick, her daughter, Kerry, her daughter-in-law, Monica, and her grandchildren, Ellis and Willa.
