Obituary

Danny Mayo (Danny Lim You Wei)

Danny Mayo, known to family and friends as Danny, and formally as Danny Lim You Wei, passed away on February 8, 2026, in Chicago, Illinois, at the age of 32. He most recently resided in Andersonville just north of Chicago.

Danny was born on November 19, 1993, in Singapore, to David Lim Hong Ann and Denise Lim. He earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics and went on to build a meaningful career at Amwell, where he worked for more than eight years, most recently serving as Manager of Technical Support. Colleagues knew him as dedicated, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to supporting both his team and the people he served.

Danny lived with a generous and compassionate spirit. A devoted Christian, he consistently put others before himself and led with kindness. He had a joyful personality that could light up any room—his smile was warm, genuine, and unforgettable. Danny had a deep love for music, often listening to his favorite songs on repeat, and he enjoyed sharing his passion for his Pokémon statues with others, frequently posting about them on TikTok.

Danny was engaged to Allen Kight, with whom he planned to marry surrounded by their loved ones within the next year. Their relationship was marked by love, mutual support, and deep commitment.

Danny is survived by his parents, David Lim Hong Ann and Denise Lim; partner, Allen Kight; his siblings, Daryl Lim You Quan and Daniella Lim Li; and his grandmother, Diana Tan Seng Eng. He is also survived by many extended family members and friends who cherished him dearly.
