Celebrating the Life of Dana Paul Dana Paul was born on September 30, 1966 in Chicago, IL to William Clark Paul and Claudia Ellen Britt Paul. Both of his parents preceded him in death. Dana departed this life on Wednesday, February 12, 2020. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother William "Dibbs" Paul, his nephew Graig Stewart and his grandparents. Dana spent most of his formative years in Chicago, IL. He moved to Peoria, IL in 1981 following the death of his mother, Claudia Ellen Britt Paul. Derrea and Jerry James served as his guardian during the Peoria years. Dana attended Peoria High School and returned to Chicago, IL soon after. Dana was employed as a Carpenter last working in 2018. Dana was known as the Protector of his family and he took this role to heart. He was an avid Chicago sports fan included his beloved Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Jordan era Chicago Bulls. Dana was famous among family and friends for his amazing pop locking dance battle skills, his witty demeanor and his world famous jerk seasoning. Dana looked forward to family gatherings, especially Thanksgiving and his annual trips to the Chicago Auto Show with his younger brother Davell. Dana had a special bond with every member of his family. He was always available for comfort and correction for all of his nieces, nephews and cousins. Dana leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memory. He is survived by his children: Christopher, Michael, Daune, Shalliyah, Danaisha, Damauree, Aylssa, Daneshia, and Kylece. He is also survived by his siblings Derrea (Jerry) James, Dennean Paul, Davell Paul, DeKeia (Robbie) Locascio, and DaShaune Paul. He is also survived by the mother of three of his daughters that which he shared a home, LaTasha D. Frison. In addition he leaves behind his nieces and nephews; Jerreia James, Jerry James Jr., Jennean Paul, Craig Stewart, Kevina Mitchell, Jasmine McCall, Bryson Paul, Meleah Paul and Raina Paul. He also leaves behind a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 10:00am until 1:30.
