Obituary

Damian Lee Redmond was born on June 24, 1975, in Illinois to Arlene and Dennis Redmond. He was one of five brothers—David, Dre, Devin, and Dennis—and from an early age, Damian lived life with heart, grit, and unshakable loyalty.

Damian was a father above all else. His only son, Tyler, was his greatest pride and accomplishment. His love didn't stop with blood; he extended his heart to others he considered family—Margie's children, Tim and Sarah, and Jennifer's children, Kaleb and Tyler. He was also a proud grandfather to Loreene, Leonardo, Apollo, Athena, and Ariya. His chosen brother, Jeremiah, was more than a best friend—he was family and the godfather Damian trusted for his son.

A gifted athlete, Damian began his path as a standout football player in high school. Though a knee injury cut his athletic dreams short, it never dimmed his drive. He went on to work in roofing, cooking, and security—doing whatever it took to provide and to push forward.

Damian had a deep love for music. He grew up on the sounds of classic rock, the soulful harmonies of Jodeci, and the unmatched brilliance of Prince. Music wasn't just something he listened to—it was something he lived. He often rapped with his friends, turning moments into memories with rhythm, laughter, and soul.

Creative and wild-hearted, Damian loved art, tattoos, and dogs—especially the smell of puppies. He never missed a Kansas City Chiefs game, walked everywhere with purpose, and could build or fix anything with his hands. He was passionate about shoes, clothes, and always expressing himself in the boldest ways.

He believed men loved deeply and carried that belief in how he showed up for others. He made the best of the worst situations, carried guilt that wasn't always his to bear, and tried to make peace with the past. His Catholic faith and Italian heritage were anchors in his identity, giving him strength, pride, and tradition.

Damian Redmond was loyal, fierce, and unforgettable. He danced, laughed, explored, and loved with intensity. He lived honestly—flawed, beautiful, and brave. His story doesn't end with his passing—it lives on in every life he touched.

May his soul find peace, and may his spirit always move through music, memory, and love.
