Dacari Andrew Jann-Jenkins, affectionately known by his friends and family as CaCa, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on April 18, 2025, in Woodstock, IL. Born on June 30, 1998, in Chicago, IL, Dacari's radiant spirit and boundless energy left an indelible mark on all who knew him.

Dacari was a cherished son to his mother, Koshanna Jann, and father, Tyrone Jenkins. He was a protective and loving brother to his siblings, Tyrisha Laslie, Mystique Ivory, Alicia Moore, Tiffany Jenkins, Elbert Ivory, James Ivory, Legion Ivory, and Tyrone Jenkins Jr. His aunts, Sam Jenkins, Natasha Jenkins, uncles; Terry "Deon" Jenkins, Tarrel Martin, Lucian Paige, Wilbert Jenkins Jr., and grandmother Mary Jenkins, will hold his memory close to their hearts. His nieces, Siobhan Ivory and Jeanette Ivory, and nephews, Lavone Jann-Moore and Dashone Jann-Moore, will miss their fun and caring uncle. Dacari was predeceased by his grandfathers, Wilbert Jenkins and Jerry Jann, as well as his grandmother Karen Harrington.

He pursued his education with a passion for understanding the human mind, studying psychology at McHenry County College. Dacari's interests were a reflection of his multifaceted personality. He was known for his love of old school R&B, which would often be the backdrop to the many gatherings he hosted. Dacari cherished his time with friends and family above all, always ensuring those he cared for felt valued and heard.

A man of many talents, Dacari found solace and joy in working on cars, as well as in the intricate art of building furniture. His hands were rarely still, as he was always engaged in projects that not only challenged his creativity but also served as a means to bring beauty and function into the lives of those around him.

Those who knew Dacari would describe him as loving, selfless, and courageous. He approached life with a heart full of compassion, always ready to give of himself for the benefit of others. His courage was not the loud and boastful kind, but a quiet strength that saw him through life's challenges with grace and determination.

In the words of Maya Angelou, "People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Dacari lived by this philosophy, leaving a legacy of kindness and warmth that will continue to be felt by all who were fortunate enough to experience his presence.

He lived a life full of purpose, love, and selfless generosity, and while he will be deeply missed, his spirit will live on in the hearts and memories of his beloved family and friends.
