Christopher Michael
Siford
Jul 30, 1986 — Feb 26, 2026
Christopher Michael Siford, known affectionately to friends and family as Chris, passed away on February 26, 2026, at the age of 39 in Joliet, IL. Born on July 30, 1986, in Martinsburg, WV, Chris was a light in the lives of all who knew him. His sudden departure due to a heart attack has left a void that can never be filled.
Family was a cornerstone of Chris's world. He was the cherished son of Tamie Semler, the beloved grandson of Nelson Semler, and the nephew of Ken and DeDe Semler. Chris's family circle included his cousins, Tyler (Cassie) and Kaitlyn (Dior), and their children, who will carry forward his legacy of laughter and love. He is also survived by his father, Roger Siford (Jenny), and his dearest friends, Joshua "Drew" Shotwell and Jessica Grzadzinski. His grandmother, Esther Semler, predeceased him, but her influence on Chris's character was evident in the compassion and empathy he showed to all.
A proud graduate of the Air Force, Chris served his country as an HVAC/R specialist. After his service, he was employed for over 15 years at Amazon. Chris's dedication to his work was evident in the meticulous care he took with every task, and particularly his favorite position on the away teams, training and assisting with the opening of new site facilities.
Beyond his professional achievements, Chris had a passion for online streaming and created a community where his sense of humor, generosity and creativeness flourished. Chris (known as Mali to the online community) had a unique ability to make everyone around him smile, and his streams were a source of entertainment and camaraderie for many.
Those who knew Chris will remember him as the funny, kind, and generous soul that he was. His laughter was contagious, his heart was large, and his willingness to help others knew no bounds.
As we say goodbye to Christopher Michael Siford, we do so with hearts full of gratitude for the time we were fortunate enough to spend with him. His legacy of humor, kindness, and creativity will continue to inspire those who were touched by his life. Chris's memory will live on, not only in the stories shared by his loved ones but also in the countless lives he impacted through his work and his online presence.
We honor a life dedicated to service, family and friends, and a life that made a lasting impression on everyone it touched. Chris's journey may have ended, but the memories he created will forever be a source of light for all of us. A celebration of life service will be held for Chris at a future date and location to be announced.
