Celebrating His Life

Calvin Collier, lovingly known as CJ, was born on March 15, 1994, and passed away on September 10, 2026, at the

age of 32. Calvin leaves behind a lifetime of memories that will remain treasured by all who knew and loved him.

A Life Filled With Dreams, Laughter & Love

Calvin had a strong work ethic and loved working in the food industry. He often told his mother, “I’m going to get right,

and I’m gonna get my own restaurant.” His dream reflected his determination, ambition, and hope for the future.

Calvin loved to play his video games and could always find a way to have fun. He was a comedian who loved to

joke, make people laugh, and bring his own sense of humor into everyday moments.

Some of the special memories Calvin shared with his father, Calvin Sr., were the funny conversations they had on the

days his dad would ride him to the train, as well as the days when they simply spent time hanging out together. Those

moments reflected the special bond they shared as father and son.

Calvin was Maria’s firstborn and Calvin Sr.’s second child. He held a special place in his family and was deeply

loved by those around him.

Calvin was a survivor. He was strong, resilient, and continued to carry that strength through the challenges of his

life. His strength and perseverance will always be remembered by those who loved him.

Calvin's favorite color was black, and he loved his Sox. Some of his happiest memories with his mother, Maria,

included watching baseball together. Their games often came with a familiar and playful debate over whose team was

better—the Cubs or the Sox.

Calvin attended Proviso East High School. He loved his nieces and nephews dearly, and the love he shared with

his family was a special part of who he was.

Calvin did not have children of his own, but he always wanted a family of his own and looked forward to the day he

could build that family.

He will always be remembered for the moments he shared with family and friends, the dreams he carried, his strength

and perseverance, his sense of humor, and the love he gave to those close to him.
