Caleb Richard Segal At 3:00 pm of March 1st, 2022 Caleb passed away peacefully in his bed at home, in the arms of his mom and sheltered by his dad, and surrounded by the compassionate team from JourneyCare. Caleb fought a great battle against the complications of cerebral palsy and although he lost this battle, Caleb won every day by giving his love and light to his parents, his family and every person he knew. Caleb was 13 years old. Caleb was born in Mexico City, at 3:15 pm on July 4th 2008. He was the only child of Violeta and Justin Segal. When you ask someone to describe Caleb, they will mention two things: his contagious laugh and his crazy hair, despite everything he went through Caleb was the happiest kid, his smile and laugh will always be his presentation card. Caleb didn't need to speak to let you know his love and he never failed to make everyone around him feel loved. Caleb was always accompanied by Caramelo, his little chihuahua, who was his companion of adventures and mischievousness until the last moment, Caleb loved his school, first at Christopher's Elementary and after in the Virtual Academy, he was loved by his teachers, therapist and classmates, and he felt that love and make him happy. Caleb leaves behind family and a sea of friends who love and care for him. Caleb is survived by his parents, Violeta and Justing Segal, his grandmothers Maru Castro and Judith Segal, his Aunts Lauren, Olga and Maru, His Uncles Gustavo, Alejandro and Alberto, his cousins Sophie, Anne, Poppy, Sussy, Daniel, Jesica, Brenda, Alfredo, Angel and Stacey Caleb was tied to a bed for so long that now in his rest we want him to be free. A part of his ashes will be buried in Assumption Cemetery, another part of his ashes will be sown with a tree to celebrate his life, others will travel to different parts of the world to rest in his family's company and the rest will be remaining under the care of his loving parents.
