Bradley James
Cooke
Mar 30, 1961 — Jan 11, 2026
Bradley James Cooke, known by those who loved him as "Brad", "Cookie", or "Beej" of Northbrook, IL passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 64.
Brad's children and grandchildren were truly the light of his life. He was a loving father to his daughters, Ellee (Dave) Ingle, Audrey Cooke, and proud grandfather to Hal and Maggie Ingle, who brought him immense joy. His children were always first in every decision he made. Born in Evanston, IL on March 30, 1961, Brad is survived by his mother Jane Clark; his brother, Greg (Amy) Cooke; his sister, Cynthia (Bill) Cooke; and his nieces and nephews, Dan, Katy, Tim, Andy, Abby. He was preceded in death by his father, Peter Maxwell Cooke; his brother, Douglas Cooke; and his stepfather, Littrell Clark.
Brad was humor personified. His quick wit and infectious laugh were a source of joy to all who knew him. Graduating from New Trier High School and finalizing his bachelor degree at Northeastern Illinois University, he flourished by navigating life with a smile on his face and a joke always looking to lift the spirits with everyone he met. A lifelong Chicago Bears fan, Brad rarely missed an opportunity to cheer on his favorite team, holding onto perpetual hope season after season. Brad had a passionate love for music—which often filled his home and created many treasured life-long friendships. Starting at a young age, fostered by his father, Brad developed a passion for car racing that extended beyond watching the sport; it led to a carefully curated collection of die-cast cars that reflected his appreciation for the history, detail, and excitement of racing.
Brad's catholic faith was also an important part of his life and supported the bravery he demonstrated fighting his illness that will continue to inspire those closest to him. We take solace in knowing that our loving father, brother, son and true friend is now at peace in the arms of our lord.
