In Loving Memory of Bradford (Brad) James Burner

Bradford James Burner, born on July 23, 1977, in Des Moines, Iowa, departed from this world on January 1, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois at the age of 46 following a prolonged battle with extensive health issues and cancer.

He is survived by his significant other, Pamela Boytim, and her son Jack, along with his mother, Nancy Damiani. Bradford leaves behind his five siblings: Dustin Burner, Chrissy Wheeler (Curtis), Stephen Burner, Michael Burner (Koren), and Lisa Burner. His memory lives on in the hearts of his six nieces and nephews as well as extended family members: aunt Patti (John) Machir, uncle Jim (JoAnn) Damiani, uncle Tom Peacock, and 9 cousins.

A graduate of Hoover High School in 1996, Brad lived his life with enthusiasm every moment. Fueled by his love of music, Brad spent hours behind the keys of both his piano and computer, composing songs for fun and often for laughs. Brad lived life to the fullest and in July 2002, he followed his heart to Chicago, where he immersed himself in the vibrant city life. Though he never lost his love for Des Moines, more specifically, Tasty Taco's, he remained a lifelong Cubs fan where he found joy in Wrigleyville, making lasting memories with his closest friends.

During his time in Chicago, Brad worked in the service industry, first as a bartender, where he once exhibited remarkable bravery by apprehending a stabbing suspect, earning him the title of "hero". Later, he became a partner at Tac Quick, a restaurant where he showcased his dedication and skill. Brad eventually transitioned to new endeavors and never stopped putting his all into everything he did. A true jack of all trades, in that he remains an unforgettable figure in the hearts of those who knew him.

Known for his boundless humor and quick wit, Brad had a unique gift for making others laugh. His infectious personality left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to share his company. Brad Burner, a man of laughter and love, will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Bradford was preceded in death by his grandparents Francis and Maxine Damiani, aunt Linda Peacock, and his father.
