Bonnie Lynn Arnett Carr, 71, of Bartonville, passed away at 4:06 p.m. Friday, December 1, 2023, at Hallmark Nursing, Pekin, IL.

Born November 8, 1952, in Pekin to Loren and Carrie (Behrends) Arnett, Sr., she married Patrick Howard Carr on July 15, 1972 in Pekin, IL. He survives.

Surviving is one daughter, Michelle (Chris) Bruce of Bartonville; four grandchildren, Patrick (Morgan) Bruce of Pekin, Hannah (Adrian) Connelley of Pekin, Nicholas (April) Bruce of Bloomington, and Elijah Carr of Springfield, one brother, Ken (Barb) Arnett of Pekin and three sisters, Sharon Heilman of Peoria, Barb Friend and Betty Draher, both of Pekin.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Jennifer Carr Walker; one brother, Loren "Bub" Arnett, Jr. and three sisters, Shirlene Arnett, Sheila Tomlinson, and Sheryl Timian.

Bonnie graduated from Pekin Community High School and had retired from Quality Inn, Morton. She had previously worked at Holiday Inn City Center as a manager on duty, K-Mart and many years at her family's grocery store, Arnett's, in Pekin.

Bonnie was the light of her husband, Patrick's life for 51 years and will be loved for eternity.

The family would like to thank the caring staff at Hallmark and Compassus for their gracious and supportive care for Bonnie's final journey.

Cremation will be accorded by Caring Cremation. Graveside services with burial of ashes at Lakeside Cemetery will be held at a later date.
