Beverly J. Wiley (Alexander), 76, of Chicago, IL, formerly of Sandusky, OH, Cleveland, OH, and Horn Lake, MS, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2022. Cherished mother of Nicole L. Brown (Alexander), Stephanie Y. Stanton (Alexander), and Sean C. Wiley.

Preceded in death by her parents Ethie and Louise Alexander and sister, Deborah Lanier.

Beverly is survived by her loving children, Nicole L. Brown (Alexander), Stephanie Y. Stanton (Alexander), and Sean C. Wiley and grandchildren, Warren G. Stanton III, Stephon N. Stanton, Brandon A. Davis, Alexandria N. Stanton, Sydney Alexander-Brown, and Braedyn C. Wiley. Her treasured siblings; Barbara Huston (twin), Donald Alexander, Dennis Alexander, Richard Alexander, Kevin Alexander, Linda Alexander, Karen Alexander, and Ray Anthony Alexander as well as extended family, friends, coworkers and countless students she touched.

Everyone who knew Beverly knew she was passionate about reading, history, and world events. She appreciated fine art, classical music, and theater. She enjoyed DIY projects and decorating (mainly for Christmas). Beverly retired as a teacher but never retired FROM teaching. She shared her knowledge with everyone she met and continued to be a fierce advocate for childhood literacy. She will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends, may she rest in peace.

Celebration of Life Services will be held in Sandusky, Ohio; April 15, 2023.
