Annie Joyce Holmes, a soul so dear, Has left this world, we shed a tear. Born in the spring of thirty-eight, In Louisville, her life took shape. She walked in faith, her heart aglow, Through Chicago's winds, both high and low. On the third of January, she found her rest, From natural causes, God knows best. A Christian lady, kind and true, Annie's love was a constant hue. Loving, thoughtful, faith-filled ways, She brightened all her earthly days. Her laughter echoed, a melody sweet, In every heart on every street. Annie, known for her caring touch, In this life, she gave so much.

"Love's the only house big enough for all the pain in the world," so they say, Maya Angelou knew love's power to sway. Annie lived this truth, her love vast, A shelter for many, strong and fast. With every step, she sowed peace, Her gentle spirit, a holy lease. She touched lives with grace so rare, A testament to the power of prayer. Now she rests in the Lord's embrace, Her journey complete, she's run her race. Annie Holmes, with love we recall, A life well-lived, an example to all. So let us gather, with hearts ablaze, To celebrate her end of days. Annie's legacy, a path of light, Guides us onward, through the night. In memory of Annie, let's all aspire, To live with love that never tires. Though she has left our earthly sight, Her spirit soars in heavenly flight.
