Andy Opila was surrounded by his family when he passed away on September 1, 2023 at the age of 67. He was the beloved husband of Margo Opila, his wife of 44 years. Loving Dad-man of Terry (Tami) Opila, Sky (Lauren) Opila, Erika (Drew) Koplitz, and the late Andy Opila. Cherished Grandman of Reagan, Storm, and Lucas. Dear brother of Bob, Frank, Anne, Beth, Sarah, and Charlie. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Joan Opila. Owner and General Manager of The Opila Company. Mayor of Newberry Avenue in La Grange Park.

Lifelong Cubs fan and Blues music lover. Volunteer with the Forest Preserve District of Cook County. Daily walker of the Salt Creek Trail where he encouraged everyone to "Make it a great day!"

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 14 at 10 a.m. at Mater Christi Church, 2401 S 10th Avenue, North Riverside, IL 60546.
