It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Andre Tyrone Hilderbrand, affectionately known as "Dre." Born on February 24, 1989, Dre departed this life on February 19, 2026, just days before his 37th birthday.

Dre was a kind-hearted soul whose generosity and selflessness touched everyone he met. Always thoughtful, he gave of himself freely, never expecting anything in return. His warm presence and compassionate spirit brought joy and comfort to those around him.

Raised on the south side of Chicago, Andre attended St. Elizabeth Elementary School before moving on to Dunbar Vocational High School and briefly attending Kennedy King College. From a young age, Dre's passion for music was evident. He grew up dreaming of becoming a renowned music executive, a dream he pursued with unwavering dedication. As an outstanding music producer, he was best known for creating beats and songs such as "Shawty Bad," leaving a lasting mark on the local music scene.

Andre's legacy lives on through his loving family. He is survived by his eldest brother, Gregory; his nine sisters, Latise, Valerie, Doris, Carrie, Shirley, Sharon, Sheila, Kristy, and Stephanie; and his brother Alfonzo. He is preceded in death by his beloved mother, Carrie Hilderbrand, and father, Gregory Hilderbrand.

Andre's light shone brightly in the lives of all who knew him. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered for his big heart, infectious joy, and lasting impact on family, friends, and the world of music.
