Ana Hilda Vivas de Molina was born in the small town of Mariño, in the Venezuelan Andes region. She was the seventh of 11 siblings descended from the marriage of Carlos Luis Vivas and Apolonia Alarcón.

When she was about ten years old, she decided, with her parents' blessing, to move with her sister Asunción to the city of Tovar, where she studied and finished High School.

She came back to her hometown to found the "La Varita" elementary school, where she taught the children of the village how to read and write.

On December 8, 1979, she married Ramón Humberto Molina Araque, with whom she had 3 children: Ramón Alonso, Ana Cecilia, and Rubén Dario. Their marriage lasted 27 years until Ramón Humberto died, in 2007. She was a caring and loving mother, who dedicated her life to raising their children.

As a result of the marriages of Ramón, Ana and Rubén, she had two daughters-in-law: Rosángela and Johanna, and a son-in-law: Gian Franco.

She also had 7 grandchildren: Adrián, Rubén Alonso, Yasneidy, Christian, Gabriel, Alejandro y Franquito.

In 2011, she met the Lord Jesus Christ; that encounter changed her life, from that moment she dedicated herself to serve others and to preach the Gospel to everyone around her. Her work and perseverance in the Church earned her the love and affection of the "Jesucristo Mi Esperanza" congregation, where she was counted as one of the elders.

When Ana Cecilia and Rubén Dario migrated to the US, she decided to follow them, having the opportunity to live an incredible journey with her daughter-in-law Johanna Saraí. After many closed doors and failed attempts, her faith and perseverance in the Lord was rewarded, having the opportunity to reunite with her children and their families through a humanitarian parole.

Days before her trip, she was diagnosed with brain cancer. In the beginning the doctors said she could not travel, but her maternal spirit and the goodness of God allowed her to make the trip. On June 10, 2023, she arrived at the city of Chicago, to finally meet again with Ana Cecilia and Ruben, after being separated for years.

She fought cancer for 15 months, and left to meet the Lord Jesus Christ on September 25, 2024.

Even in the midst of her illness, her faith was noticeable to everyone around her; she never complained. She was always thankful and happy to be with the ones she loved, although and piece of her heart stayed in Venezuela with her oldest son, Ramón Alonso, and his family.

Ana was a woman of faith, who trusted God with all of her heart and soul, loved her family with warmth, and now rest in the arms of Jesus for eternity. She fought the good fight and prevailed, and all of us who remain here will miss her until the day we see her again.

Ana Hilda Vivas de Molina nació en el pequeño pueblo de Mariño, en la región de los Andes venezolanos. Fue la séptima de 11 hermanos descendientes del matrimonio de Carlos Luis Vivas y Apolonia Alarcón.

Cuando tenía unos diez años, decidió, con la bendición de sus padres, mudarse con su hermana Asunción a la ciudad de Tovar, donde estudió y terminó el bachillerato.

Regresó a su pueblo natal para fundar la escuela primaria "La Varita", donde enseñó a leer y escribir a los niños de la aldea.

El 8 de diciembre de 1979 se casó con Ramón Humberto Molina Araque, con quien tuvo 3 hijos: Ramón Alonso, Ana Cecilia y Rubén Darío. Su matrimonio duró 27 años hasta que Ramón Humberto falleció, en 2007. Fue una madre atenta y amorosa, que dedicó su vida a criar a sus hijos.

Producto de los matrimonios de Ramón, Ana y Rubén tuvo dos nueras: Rosángela y Johanna y Gian Franco su yerno.

Tuvo además 7 nietos: Adrián, Rubén Alonso, Yasneidy, Christian, Gabriel, Alejandro y Franquito.

En 2011 conoció al Señor Jesucristo; ese encuentro cambió su vida, desde ese momento se dedicó a servir a los demás y a predicar el Evangelio a todos los que la rodeaban. Su trabajo y perseverancia en la Iglesia le valieron el amor y cariño de la congregación "Jesucristo Mi Esperanza", donde era contada como una de las ancianas.

Cuando Ana Cecilia y Rubén Darío migraron a Estados Unidos, ella decidió seguirlos, teniendo la oportunidad de vivir un viaje increíble junto a su nuera Johanna Saraí. Después de muchas puertas cerradas e intentos fallidos, su fe y perseverancia en el Señor se vio recompensada, teniendo la oportunidad de reunirse con sus hijos y sus familias a través de un parole humanitario.

Días antes de su viaje, le diagnosticaron cáncer cerebral. En un principio los médicos dijeron que no podía viajar, pero su espíritu maternal y la bondad de Dios le permitieron hacer el traslado y el 10 de junio de 2023, llegó a la ciudad de Chicago, para finalmente reencontrarse con Ana y Rubén.

Después de luchar contra el cáncer durante 15 meses, partió al encuentro del Señor Jesucristo el 25 de septiembre de 2024.

Aún en medio de su enfermedad, su fe fue notoria a todos los que la rodeaban; nunca se quejaba. Siempre estaba agradecida y feliz de estar con sus seres queridos, aunque un pedazo de su corazón se quedó en Venezuela con su hijo mayor, Ramón Alonso y su familia.

Ana fue una mujer de fe, que amó a Dios con toda su alma y corazón, cuidó de su familia con cariño y dedicación, y ahora descansa en los brazos de Jesús por la eternidad. Ella peleó la buena batalla y venció. Todos los que quedamos aquí la extrañaremos hasta el día en que la volvamos a ver.
