Marva's journey began on May 22nd, 1962. On her birth certificate her name reads Marvel L. Williams, and a marvel she truly was. She sojourned through the world as a quiet but spirited woman. To those who didn't know Marva, she was reserved but kind. To her loved ones, she was an absolute delight. Marva had a way of bringing humor to any situation. She could make you laugh on your lowest day, no matter what she was going through. In many ways, Marva was a lighthouse on a stormy day. Her company will be truly missed. Marva leaves behind siblings Evyette Carson, Charlene Calvert, and Keith Williams; cousins Rose Okiljah, Will Louis; nieces Kharis Calvert, Gabrielle Calvert, Marie Carson, Crystal Williams and many others. Marva was preceded in death by parents Sandy B. Williams, Mary Williams, and brother Alvin Williams.
Marva had a love and a keen eye for quality music, art, and fashion. She also was an avid reader. It was these things and her love for Jehovah that brought Marva the joy she so readily to spread to others. It was later on in life Marva chose to take a greater interest in serving Jehovah. It was kind Christians like Lynette Thorpe, Catherine Davis, Pam Hines, Linda and Bill Springsteen that stoked Marva's love for Jehovah by their sterling christian qualities and acts of loyal love. Marva was convinced that Jehovah used these ones and many others, to draw her to Him. Like for so many, it was God's word that brought Marva the peace that life can cruelly take away at times. Marva made Jehovah her stronghold to the best of her ability and that was always remarkable to witness. Despite her illnesses, Marva left an example of resilience. In short, Marva was brilliant. Marva was marvelous.
