Obituary

The Essence of Eli Perkins Jr. Daddy,  God saw the road was getting rough The hills hard to climb;  He gently closed your eyes And whispered 'peace be thine'.  God knew you had to leave us.  You did not go alone, For part of us went with you, The day he called you home.  Your Family. Eli Perkins Jr. was born on June 13,1948 in Aberdeen, MS to Eli Perkins Sr. and Annie B. Perkins. He took his last breath on this earth on Friday, December 13, 2019. Eli LIVED a fully blessed and happy life and outwardly confessed his love for God at an early age. He is preceded in death by both of his beloved Parents, his Step-Father, Roosevelt Cunningham, his Eldest Sister, Pearlie Perkins-Lackland and his Twin Children.  Our Daddy had a lot to say about EVERYTHING!!! His Motto: I ain't here for a long time, but I'm here for a GOOD TIME!!! His Philosophy after retirement: F it!!! He didn't mind sharing HIS thoughts with Anyone and STOOD on what He said. Daddy was Our Superman!!! Each of His Children looked UP to him from our 1st breaths.  We still look UP to Him even after his breaths on this earth no longer exists. Nowadays, Daddy's Breath flows through Our Mother, Me, My Brother, My Sister, Our Children, Their Children, etc. We have so many colorful stories about Daddy to share that he left in our memories and laughter in our hearts! Daddy didn't give up on any task even if it was physically difficult to the eye.  He was a Gemini by Zodiac Sign, so the 'twin' part of him could ALWAYS see a way around any obstacle. There are too many reasons to name as to what We Loved about Daddy the Most!!! We Love EVERYTHING that He taught us, even the tougher lessons. We Love that He Loved Us! We Love that He taught Us to Love! We Love Daddy Forever and a Day!!!  We Love the Love that he shared with Our Mother!!! We can still see Daddy's Love in the mirror and in All of Those that Love him!!! Daddy was easy-going, funny, strong, smart and he LOVED MUSIC!!! LOL His Playlist is vast and extends from one end to another! It's Laughable remembering once saying, "Daddy!!! Lil Wayne!!! For real???" He was moving his head and smiling wide, "What you got against Lil Wayne?!" We THANK GOD that He chose to give Us the wonderful Father that We're Abundantly Blessed to call, 'Daddy'!!! We Each have such full hearts thinking about how me and my Sister, Elina always 'argue' over Which of us is Daddy's Fav! Of Course, it's ME, but I don't mind that We Share such a Wonderful Daddy!!! Our Brother, Eli (Bonta) has never had to fight for that position being the only male child. Although, We did informally adopt, Antone into our family as a Son/Brother every since he was 12 years old. He had to come inside just like We did to do chores too!!!  Daddy's Chore list didn't just consist of: washing dishes, taking out the garbage or sweeping floors. Daddy had all of Us removing wallpaper with Sanders, painting rooms, cleaning the attic, helping install flooring, etc. We always tried to get out of it, but Daddy didn't take 'no' for an answer. Now, We proudly try to instill that same tenacious work ethic into Each One of our own Children !!!  There's nothing that any of us left unsaid to our Daddy, except maybe just one more - WE LOVE YOU DADDY!!! #HappyFathersDayForever #GodCalledYouHome #WeWillSeeEachOtherAgain #YouLiveThroughUs  Eli leaves to mourn his unsurmountable loss the following loved ones: Devoted & Loving Wife, Rose, Children; Elisha (Fred) – Jaylene, Alize & Javan, Eli IIIrd (Jennifer) – Eli IV (Jessica) – Eli V & Malachi, Elitrise, Elion, Lola & Elison, Elina – Justice & Liberty and Informally Adopted in Love, (Son) Antone. Sisters: Ann (MC) – Cecilia – Damon, Felicia – Marcus & MC – Joshua & Jalen and Rosemary – Kimyl & Kyna – Charles & Kayla. There's also Sisters in Love: Gladys, Claudia, Ana, Linda, Saundra, Christina, Brothers in Love: Jerome, Ronnie, Raynard & Mark. His Brothers from a different Mother: Glenn (Wanda), Bland (Millicent) & Osamah. There are numerous Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Neighbors, Friends, Former Co-Workers, Military Family and so many Others that aren't named, but certainly remembered in Our Hearts!  Thank ALL OF YOU for Loving Eli like We DO and for keeping his great memories in your hearts, minds, Prayers and life-long stories for as often as you can! Know that You're EACH APPRECIATED!!!
