Daniel Norman Hidalgo, 62 years old and a Chicago resident. In God's care on September 13, 2021. Loving son of the late Ann Buckland and Mike Hidalgo. Dear Uncle and Godfather to Benjamin Vargas. Beloved Brother to Mercedes and half brothers Isabel, Miguel, and Paulina Hidalgo. Dear Cousin to John, Kathy, Jeff and Leasa Colwill and all the extended Hidalgo family.
Danny was born and raised in Ecuador. He came to Michigan in his teenage years. He had an associates degree in culinary and always worked in the food industry. He loved penguins, wolves and was an avid fan of the Chicago Cubs and the Detroit Tigers. He followed the Franciscan Teachings because he loved all animals. When Covid-19 came, as an essential worker, he never said no to work. Even though he was high risk because of a liver transplant he had received many years ago which made him immunosuppressive. He managed to avoid Covid-19 until this past July. It is believed that Delta crossed over even though he was fully vaccinated. Sadly, Danny was not able to beat covid.
Danny will be very much missed. He was kind and thoughtful. Always wanting to help others in need.
